With all the recent talk about Qix--I have to admit never really got into that game back then...."run away and hide"

To the Qix fans here did the sequel "Super Qix" suck? What was it that went wrong??? You never hear this game mentioned!

yes.. it sucked.. putting faces to the characters and backgrounds sucked. .The first was cool for the enemy, the Qix, and the sounds... quite different than anything else. The super one added nothing really imho.

I hated that Super Qix only had one "draw" button.

The original game had both "fast draw" and "slow draw" buttons, leading to interesting decisions... do you close off an area with fast draw just to get it done and get away from the Qix, or do you tempt fate by using slow draw, leaving yourself open to attack by the Qix and Sparx for longer, but possibly netting double the points for the filled in area? These decisions made Qix a very strategic game.

Super Qix is definitely a dumbed down sequel. And the cutesy gremlin-styled "Qix" is atrocious.

Kyle

I have to agree... Super Qix sucked... might as well play Gals Panic...

Yeah, have to throw in with Frizz on this one. I looked at it and all the elements that made 'Qix' intersesting were missing... If I wanted a picture backdrop and "faces", I would be better served by playing 'Gal's Panic'.. or better yet, Miss World 96...

on that note, I have a 'Super Qix' Marquee I am trying to unload....

That's Benny Hill, isn't it? I just noticed. Sorry, as you can see I'm a bit slow.
