Did somebody buy these in Columbia SC?

Did Lyons get them?
Nope!

A couple of friends that work together in Columbia and share the hobby. One of them posts here infrequently- can't remember his username right off.

He said one may have a broken neck or at least a busted neck pcb. He said one or two may be multi-gamed soon.

Probably the Star Castle and the Gorf.

:) Just kidding. I'd lay odds on the Choplifter/Mr Do/Pairs (jamma?) getting multi'ed first.

Just saw the banter going on in this post, if anybody would like to talk to me about arcade games, or needs any help with one, feel free to go by my store anytime you'd like.

If you don't like the prices, I understand. I sell things at retail, and stand behind what I sell. For instance I sold a game yesterday that had the monitor go out on it after the guy got it to his house, so here I am sitting around trying to rebuild a Hantarex Polo monitor that I've already recapped and put a new flyback in once before... I'm going to do whatever it takes to make the thing work perfectly again for the guy, and if he comes back in 6 months and it's broke again, guess what? I'm going to make it right for the guy again.

That's the reason I have to charge higher than what some of you would like to pay for games. The reason I advertise on Craigslist is because it's incredible successful. Free advertising, and it pays off well. If you are upset because I type words on craigslist, I think maybe you should just think about whether or not it's that big of a deal. "craigslist isn't intended for retail advertisements" is correct, but craigslist also does nothing about retail advertisements. I think I offer a fair price, decent games, and incredible customer service which you're not going to get if you buy a game from somebody who only has one.

I suppose your point is it drives up the prices of games. That's great. It drives up the prices of your WORKING games as well. I don't sell broken games. If you know how to repair games, you can still buy them cheaply ,and then once it's repaired, perhaps my posts selling games at higher prices will help yours be worth more.

I don't disparage others with my posts, I help out when I can here on the board, and I sell and fix games for the local community. If anybody wants to come talk to me face to face about it, the address is on my website.

Lyons,
You kept mentioning "you & your" in your post. I'm not sure who that's directed to here, so I guess Ill answer my end of it.
First of all, I haven't personally met you yet, dealt with you, or even inquired on your games, so any comments I have made should not have been taken personally. I do search CL for games, and run across your ads all the time (as already noted here). I feel they are out of my budget (for what im willing to pay for those particular games at least) - as a game goes.

The fact that you do give customer support is great - its nice to feel your getting something extra for the money. I buy tools for my trade as a mechanic. Some I buy Cheap (harbor freight, etc), but most I buy from Mac and Snap on - not because its a better tool exactly, but mainly because of the guarantee and convenience behind them. So the higher prices are a bit more justified.

I don't think anyone here was arguing your prices, as there are other retailers that post here as well. But mainly as your relentlessness on CL. Placing an ad weather your a retailer or not is fine - that's what its there for - to sell stuff. But as you stated CL doesn't do anything to enforce their rules so its then ok for you to blatantly and habitually break the rules?
Do what you want. I was merely stating I filter out all your ads (thus maybe a possible sale for you) so I don't have to see your $599 Gyruss on every CL within the 100 mile radius of here re posted every 3 days (as well as all your other machines your selling).

Calling people out here to "come visit you and talk face to face about it" is a bit aggressive as well - I know people have been banned here for similar statements. So im sorry if I hurt your feelings, I was just letting others here (who have posted similar feelings about your CL posts) how I handle it so I don't have to look at the same ads over and over and over and......you get the idea.

And if the "your" that you were posting wasn't directed at me, then just disregard this post :D

No hurt feelings, I'm just trying to explain why I do what offends you. My comment about coming to see me isn't so I can get in a fight with you, it's so that you can see I'm a human being, with a cool vintage arcade set up in my vintage game store, and I let people play all the games for free. I'm not just some jerk who posts all over craigslist and is abusing the system, etc.

My store, which I advertise on Craigslist, has 20 arcade games turned on right now, set on freeplay. Anybody that walks through the door can play the games as long as they like. There's a couple here right now playing Mortal Kombat, and as usual the woman is winning.

My point is: if you have a complaint about people posting on Craigslist, if you came and met me and saw what I'm doing here, you wouldn't be complaining about it. The reason arguments and misunderstandings and negative perceptions of people come about is because people don't have all the information. The only information you have about me is that I post things for sale on Craigslist, for more than you want to pay. Come meet me, see what I'm about, and you won't have those negative perceptions anymore.
