Well I finally got around to fixing my Mr DO. Sorta :)

I installed my replacement monitor which had a chassis for a PP, Defender type orientation into my Mr Do.

First part was SUCCESS, Beautiful picture.

Then I soon realised my back door isnt going to close so I have some modifications to do :(

Do you have the original mounting brackets and frame?

Yeah, the easiest route by far is to swap monitor frames. I've had this happen to me before as well. The moment you realize that the door isn't going back on is a bit of a bummer. I've just started using the original brackets by default anyway, since it's the original way the game was built.

I have a monitor in the same cage, might even be the same monitor, someone else has had this problem too. Their solution, cut the metal chassis at required angle and bend side support in to meet it, door closes.

Pretty hardcore mod but it works

Andy.

Yeah..but if you don't want it to look like ass..then you'll use the old frame so it fits right.

Or you could find the plastic monitor bubble taito and other companies made to accommodate this very issue. Then you simply cut a hole in the door and add the bubble.

I agree I'd swap frames. I'm going to do the same thing with a D9500 in my Gyruss.

What type of monitor did you replace it with?

As others have mentioned I would transplant to the
original frame.
