I am finally starting to build my Sinistar and have been trying to source parts and one of said parts was a control panel. Found this one on Ebay so I put out a min bid and low and behold I won it. I feel like it was a bit on the high side but it seems like finding Sinistar parts can be a challenge. My one concern on this panel is that there doesn't seem to be any mounting options for the joystick. Can anyone show me how the joystick gets attached in a Sinistar?

I think I have found most of the other big pieces here on Klov thankfully.

$111 shipped

What are your thoughts?

I don't think thats crazy.
If it was one of the major components needed to complete, I would have bought it.

if it's in your budget as a collector, you didn't overpay

This.

I don't mind paying for parts for a restore...what kills me is how much it is to ship this stuff..sometimes it's more to ship than what you paid. I have to take that into account when buying at times, but it still falls under the "is it worth it to you?" umbrella.

There are 3 wants when collecting...good condition, fast acquisition, and cheap price...pick 2.

As for how things fit.... here's a start:

found that with a google image search.

The other thing to do is to find a pdf of the Sinistar manual.... it should also answer some questions.

That panel must have been converted and deconverted ? as from the underside in the auction pics, you can see some round sections of wood grain which would be evidence of plugging holes.

They may have also plugged mounting holes/etc.

This is an excellent deduction. I agree, the mounting holes have been filled with putty.

I was watching this and thought about buying it for my Williams control panel production project. I'm glad a Sinistar is getting an control panel.
