So I noticed there's a track after the End Credits on the soundtrack, and everyone keeps saying it was "very open for a sequel" even though it ends with the grid presumably exploding. So... was there some other scene after the credits? Are we taking the fact Quorra got out to mean a sequel is in the works? I'm confused.

No, nothing after the credits. The "open for a sequel" thing comes from Ed Dillinger's son being at ENCOM, Sam having a copy of Flynn's work and TRON being restored after falling into the Sea of Simulation.

Ahh... see, I didn't realize the stuff Sam transfered to his phone was the work from the grid, I thought it was the data for Quarra to exist in the real world (I should have known otherwise when I saw her WAITING OUTSIDE TEN SECONDS LATER but it was late, haha). I also didn't catch that TRON stayed restored, I figured he was killed when Flynn merged with Clu. That clears things up a LOT, thank you.

Who knows honestly, but he never derezzed, just turned back to blue/white and the Sea of Simulation was still there after Flynn merged with CLU. I'm going to assume TRON must have been awfully deep in the sea at that point considering how fast he was sinking.

Excellent point... I didn't notice that the sea of simulation was still remaining after the merge honestly (I had my eye on the portal area still, haha). I'm glad I didn't miss any post-credits scenes, that would have sucked. Thanks for explaining everything.

Everyone, and I mean everyone stayed in their seats until the end credits were over and the lights came on. I think everyone expected more. The last time this happened was at the end of The Darjeeling Limited. After the end credits there was a short film that showed Natalie Portmans tastee tots. Yummay.

All kidding aside - it was a great movie.

I think the 'sequel' part is due to the fact that tron was 'alive' ala Bourne Supremecy, and Cora is out of the grid with Sam. Plus, while 'the grid' was shut down, it is all still there, and he has the disk. Looks like the son will follow in the father's footsteps.
