I was just out in the garage working on my Out Run. I tried to adjust the picture by moving one of the wires for the horizontal adjustment. I was using a set of needle nose pliers, and in doing so, i accidentally grounded one of the terminals to the chassis. At that point, I heard a "pop", then the monitor was dead. I checked the fuse, but it was ok. Is there anything else i can check, or did i kill the monitor?

FYI - if fuse F901 (the smaller one) is blown, you likely have a blown flyback. Be very careful when working with your monitor if it has a blown F901 fuse - you likely still have stored charge in your filter capacitor. If you ground yourself to that filter cap with a stored charge you'll get a nasty bite.

Just found the F901 fuse, and it is definitley blown. I will replace it and post and update as to what happens.

Success! I wired in an in-line fuse holder and fired up the monitor. Everything appears to work as it should. Thank you guys for telling me about the other fuse. I almost chalked this up as a dead monitor. I will definitely be more careful and power down next time I make any adjustments!

Great that the monitor survived, even better that you survived. Don't work on monitors while they are powered up unless you know what you are doing.

Now that it's working, you can drive like a nut in the virtual world!
