Nondescript buildings with long hallways and many doors. A host of enemy agents all dressed the same and wearing black. Ducking and dodging bullets with inhuman skill. Ok, did EA provide the Wachowsky Bros inspiration for The Matrix??

I notice you didn't mention one key element for this theory to work...

...elevators.

I seem to recall a few kick-ass elevator scenes--just not enough to add them into to the mix. What this thread really needs is an appreciation for the fine art of hyperbole. :)

There IS that incredible lobby scene in the first Matrix movie. They use the elevator as a counterweight to get to the top of the building and place a bomb in the elevator that blows up the lobby. I would definitely consider that to be "elevator action" in my book... :)

I still have never played this game to-date. And there was one even sitting in DJ DNS' driveway when I picked up my Berzerk!

Are you getting antsy waiting for the Smash TV?

I doubt it inspired the movie, but that may have gotten SOME ideas from it :)

One could hope.

I am! Tonight's the night--can't wait. Thought I'd start this thread as a goof--not serious, of course. :)

I think it's more likely that the name Harry Potter was stolen from the movie troll and used for the main character in the successful book/movie series. Or that the name Forrest Gump was taken from the movie Legend where there is a character named Gump who is introduce something to the effect of being protector of the forrest, Gump. I'd suspect those before I'd think the matrix was based on EA.

He sold me the one I ended up setting the WR on. Actually he's sold me 2 of my 8 games.
