Did anyone here pick up the Ice Cold Beer on Louisville Craigslist?

Just wondering if anyone here picked it up? I thought about it too long and someone snagged it. I did some negotiation for who ever bought it.

Taito Ice Cold Beer Arcade Game

THIS GASME HAS BEEN SOLD. This arcade game was very popular during the mid 1980's.and well into the 90's. The game was working until it was moved from one room to another. This game is not working and needs repair. The lights work, the sound effects work, the controls work. The glass is in fair shape (not broken) but shows a little wear. The cabinet is in fair shape for a game of this age – a few scrapes, nicks, chips, etc. One side has nearly perfect graphics – other side not so good.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to repair it so I need to sell it either for parts or for someone who knows electronics to recondition it. I don't believe the fix is a major undertaking. There are not many of these games around - except this one, sitting in my garage, and taking up space.

My guess is that it is worth between $350 and $500 in its present, non-working condition – possibly $1000 to 1200+ working. This game is being sold "AS IS." Buyer must arrange to pick it up at my home. No delivery available.

If I can answer any questions please email me.

This one? Not me. Granted, I have only seen a few around here but the price window he seemed to want to target seemed a bit high for a non working game. Especially how even he describes its general condition.

That's the one. I had him talked down to $200 over the phone. I think it would have been an easy fix. He had owned it for over 15 years. He said it quit working after a move.

I emailed. He called me to set up a time. I ended up passing since I have 2 game deals going on right now and I really need to quit spending, so I can eventually get this new Stern Spiderman.

Rule number 1......never believe what the SELLER is telling you.....especially when they're stating it's worth $1000-$1200 plus when working. That's a $500 game, tops...and I'd venture you'd have a hard time getting $500 in our area.

And I agree with Brent.....a Benjamin (or so) too high for a broke game.

...and Chris.....it is fun!
