Did anyone get any games from the closing gameworks locations??

Hey did any klovers score any games? I looked into getting some in Michigan but the site said games sold out. I thnk the Ohio location and the California location sales are starting soon.

I will post the link for the auction company in a few.

I went to the one at Great Lakes Crossing once. It was pretty cool and I tried that game near the entrance where you ride up and down in these chairs trying to pop your opponents hot air baloon. One thing that stood out to me where how the classics were all stuffed in really generic cabs.

I'd be an operator or two snagged most of the games.

Wat tha...!

Are all of the Gameworks closing, or just those locations?

Yeah, their classics weren't fun at all in those crappy-looking homemade wooden cabs you had to sit at... :(

I picked up a Sega Rally Championship deluxe model recently that had a Gameworks Ontario (CA) game card lodged in it. Obviously not a recent sale, but probably sold many years ago from the Gameworks there.

I inquired about the Great Lakes Crossing location as well. I think they had a bulk buy without any auction at all. They still have 8 locations open. Too bad - one of the few places you could play lots of recent games in really nice deluxe set-ups. All that space though with the bar/restaurant not making much money either. I'm surprised it stayed open as long as it did.

I wonder where all those deluxe Indy 500 setups ended up, seems like every Gameworks had one. Would kill to have a setup like that, but would probably need a warehouse just to house the thing.
