Did any other games come in the Die Hard cabinet?

I thought it was a fun time waster. But yeah, it always puzzled me why it was called Die Hard when it had nothing to do with the movie.

some crazy talk in this thread.

DHA/Dynamite Deka is NOT a bad game!

Using the DH name was a US thing to bring in more marketing appeal but it really distracts from the fact that it's a solid B game. IMHO it's a much better SSBeU than some of the Konami titles. The gathering of weapons and combining of items is an example of where it's pretty good. Cut scene interactions were clever.

I think that the game actually is much better than the cab. Duramold? bleh....

Virtua Fighter Remix as mentioned B+
Radiant Silvergun as mentioned A
Baku Baku Animal (solid puzzle game) B
Die Hard Arcade B
Columns B-
Decathalete B-
Funky Head Boxers C+
Bass Fishing B-
Puyu Puyu Sun B
Shanghai B-

Since it's JAMMA you can stick nearly any 3 button game into it or punch it for more buttons. A Naomi system will work in this just as good.

Since I originally started this thread I still have you to have purchased the game lol. It's still in it's original spot waiting for me to decide. I just can't get past the shitty graphics in this game. Someone mentioned that it's Jamma? How does that work if it's cart based? Does the cart plug into the top of the main PCB? Would I just disconnect the main board and just plug in another jamma board in it's place? I have no knowledge on this cart setup.

The board is JAMMA and does all the work, and the cartridge contains the ROMs for the game, just like a Neo-Geo MVS. To change the game you just take one cart out and put the new one in. Take a look at the pictures at the top of the System16 page. Since it's JAMMA, yeah, you can rip out the ST-V board and stick any JAMMA board in its place -- like an MVS-1 if you were so inclined. One caveat though -- the ST-V board doesn't use -5V (the ST-V manual's pinout lists the -5 pins as "NC"), so a cabinet made specifically for an ST-V probably won't have that voltage.

Okay so when they talk about Dual Bios Compatibility,is that what specifies the Japanese carts that are compatible with the US system and vise versa?

Dual Bios Compatable means it will run on either a US or Japanese motherboard.

The ST-V cabs are not wired for -5vdc, and I do not believe the original switcher supplies this power. However, I am fairly sure that a Peter Chou 150 is a drop in replacement and that will supply the -5vdc as well as the other DC voltages.

The system has a sort of region-locking, where "locked" US carts won't work on a Japanese system, and vice versa. The truth is, the only "lock" is in the BIOS, which can be replaced with a common EEPROM flashed with a universal BIOS that'll run anything, which is the way to go. Anyone on these forums with a burner can burn one up for you.
