Update 10-2-17: I installed a new edge connector tonight ( the blue on in the pic) so i now have solid connections to the pcb all around..i start the game up and nothing changed from previous posts EXCEPT now i smelled burning and then i started to see faint hints of smoke in the back box..i couldnt really pinpoint where it was exactly coming from because i immediately turned the game off....but it was definitely from the left side and im going to say it was the driver transistor boards because those transistors were extremely hot to the touch even after i turned the game off.
Also the transistors under the playfield were really hot too.
So i disconnected the two driver boards and started the game again and it did what it normally does, just light up, but there was no more burning smell or nor smoke so the issue has to be the driver transistor boards.
Do i swap the boards out or just replace the transistors on the boards and under the playfield?
That makes sense the transistor boards are an issue because when i bought the game and got it home those boards were the only thing disconnected in the whole game. So someone before me disconnected them for the exact same reason i bet...i doubt it was the previous owner because he never touched it since he got it, and he got it not working also and knew nothing about pin repair.
