If you want a simple piece of advice, go to youtube and look up all of the people who post board repair videos, and just start watching as many as you can.
You'll probably learn faster by watching other people (and/or you'll become aware of what things you need to go learn more about, if you don't understand what they're saying/doing). But there is a mountain of arcade-specific content to watch.
Eventually if you digest enough of it, you'll start to recognize how people go about diagnosing and troubleshooting boards.
