Hello,
Just completed the testing on the Amp HV repro from Dezbaz. Everything works, and looks great.

Picture is now a bit too big with the new HV installed so a recalibration of the X&Y controls will have to be made plus brightness and focus. I Ran into a problem during initial adjustment, HV cutoff would not work, PM'd Dez and the result was changing the value of R19 to 100k from 68k, here's his post http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=192654&page=20 see #197.

All in all it was a fun build and I'm happy to get the original HV which saw a lot rebuilding in its lifetime out of the game. BTW if you need a 6100 focus block and you want to save a few bucks, you might want to PM Chad at the arcadecup, I got one from him when I picked up the flyback for the HV, he's got a big tub full of dead flybacks and he thinks he still has several 6100's.
Many thanks to Dez for making the project a reality.

Sweet! May I ask what gauge of wire you used making the harness for the hv board? Is 18ga sufficient?
Joey, as Dez mentioned 18ga is fine, that's what I used. The outside jacket on the wire was double thickness, I had trouble locating short lengths of colorcoded wire (except red & black) till I found out about a company a few town over that makes among other things wire harnesses for military vehicles. I stopped in and asked them if they could help me out and was able to get what I needed, couldn't get the 3 yellow wires with stripe so I went with white and striped color. Jacket thickness was double because of Military specs. Harness is a bit stiff but I don't think it's enough to cause any concern.
