Dezbaz how about reproduction cinematronics monitor chassis!

Dez, your the man on these reproduction chassis boards.. Ever considered running reproduction cinematronics monitor chassis?:D:)

Ha, so we have a consensus then. :D. Wait a minute . . .

Actually, I was looking at Vectorlabs' site last night, and it seems he has already developed WG6100 Alternatives for Deflection and HV (Total re-vamps) Sorry if this is spilling beans Mike, It's on your site :D

Deflection

HV

Perhaps he could easily modify this design to accept a different X/Y/Z Signal like the cinematronics gear puts out

I vote for Vector Labs myself

Thanks for the vote of confidence guys. Maybe ask Mike if he could look at this

A known issue for these repro'ing WG6100 and G08 gear (Same screen as each other) is as far as I know there is no known neck connector available new

It would almost have to be a redesign rather than a reproduction. The DAC's used on them are very expensive and not easy to find. However if someone did want to take on the challenge I have a line on a stash of them. Not sure how many I can get my hands on but I think there was a bunch of them about a year ago.

I agree, it wasn't exactly a success story was it :(

All them boards hanging off - YUK!

Good luck whoever does it, if ever it gets done

Looked over the schematics and it does not seem that difficult to do.
I think that newer DAC's will need to be designed in however to make it
worth while at least 25 people would have to want one, also what would
be a fair selling price?

Mike

How about just a DAC adapter for a G05/V2000? That seems easy enough.

I was reading this thread
http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showpost.php?p=2330228&postcount=15

Apparently Chad used to fix the boards for $250.00

My amplifone setup runs into approx $350.00 to $400.00 for a whole monitor if you add everything up, depending where you get your gear.

I'd expect the price to be fairly high, or at least not cheap. However, that'd be fine and I'd gladly pay it if it meant having a newly designed, working, safe monitor. I'd probably buy two: one for the Solar Quest and one as a backup for Star Castle.
