Desoldering stations - Opinions needed

The Madell's are Hakko knockoffs. Use a Hakko pump, problem solved.

I use a Hakko 472D. You can get them for a decent price if you scavenge eBay.

I still stand by my Pace units. Love 'em.

Pricey, but mighty damn nice.

Ive beat the crap out of my Hakko 808 and it keeps on ticking. I love that thing. Had it for a little over a year now and it has been the best $150 I have ever invested.

I would love a Pace setup, but can't justify the money right now. I have a Hakko 936 for soldering and 808 for desoldering, and those are working out just fine.

I'm leaning towards the 808 right now, but a couple things I don't like about them that are making me hesitate.

1) No light indicator to show it's ready or even on.
2) No switch to turn it on and off, you have to plug and unplug it.
3) Kind of bulky.

I've used one and it does a fantastic job, it's just a few nit picky things.
