Designing a TRON MCR to JAMMA Interface Board

Are you going to post the BOM? Hopefully, from one supplier to make ordering easier. 😉

BOM...
Can upload straight to DigiKey for everything except the LS491.

Thank you.

Where are you buying the LS491?

The links are in the BOM. Elliott Electrical's are a little bit nicer quality than Twisty Wrist.

If you end up doing a spy Hunter version with the molex connectors let me know.
Just bought a Spy Hunter from @CudaSales and have an initial Spy Hunter adapter designed out. If I understand the absolute position board correctly, I should be able to make use of the same LS491 IC to create an 8 bit counter with a return-to-center.

The only thing I'm not going to be able to do is the lamp driver... wouldn't make sense to put the LEDs on the adapter, but for anyone who wants a lamp driver, they can plug it up to the MCR board pretty easily.

Planning on making use of the 1p/2p start buttons for weapons van and shifter, to avoid requiring an extension harness.

Looks like this would make a good test bench adapter too. Good job and see you are working on spy hunter :)

Hey Flash, I'm getting an email failure when I send to you. Your email was working just a couple weeks ago.

Have you settled in on a final-final-final version of these yet? Or do you think there will be more revisions as you incorporate Spy Hunter? I bought a couple of your pre-final versions. Would like to get a final version. Please email me, [email protected]. Thanks,

Joe

Yeah im finished with tron and have the final boards. Spy hunter will be a completely different board. Ive already got some prototype steering and acceleration circuits working with it.

FWIW that OSSC profile also works on Spy Hunter, and probably most other MCR titles.
