sea wolf snow storm
I finally scored a sea wolf last november. I arranged to pick it up with the guy and the skies were clear. I grabbed my dad's trailer at his place and the guy called me as I left, delaying my trip about 1hr due to a meeting. So, I start driving and a few snow sprinkles are hitting the windshield. 10 minutes later it was complete whiteout for about 1 hr. The game was picked up in the rural part of Kalamazoo MI (I think). I wrapped it in Every tarp and plastic wrap Meijers sold at the time and started heading back. I was starting to salivate the closer I came to my home--knowing turning it on would be just a few hours away. The roads started getting a little better once I hit the highway--quite trecherous to this point, but the Tahoe was driving like a champ. About 20 miles left and all of a sudden the truck seemed boggy. I punched it and did not notice much of an issue. UNTIL, I saw the smoke flying out of the wheel well of the trailer. A quick jolt and the fender FLEW off the trailer smacking a road sign--that was pretty dam cool sounding. A huge chunk of rubber smacked my right side mirror as it flung itself narrowly missing the sea wolf.
Kind of had to walk about 1/2 mile back to the previous exit to retrieve my fender--what do you know, there is a wrecker company right at the exit. The ass charged my 65$ for a hook up and 30 for the used tire. So my sea wolf has now cost me $295 and it still is not home--could have been worse. Got it home with no extra problems and saw no water on the cab. Knock on wood, it has worked like a charm ever since. Still worth it, if you ask me!!!
