Keeps coming up saying searching for network. Some one mentioned it was a net dimm dip. Anyone know what location that is in or any other things that could cause that issue? Cartridge tests good.

There's a dip bank on the board. Grab a naomi gdrom game manual and it shoud show thise dip settings. Also, I said maybe it's the dip setting.

It sounds like you are just running a satellite cart in a single Naomi board? If you don't have a main board to link to, you can't do anything with that cart.

The satellite carts will not run without being linked to a main boardset via optical cables. The game should be playable with one main and one satellite (with network cart, card reader and some cards) linked together at the minimum, but no lesser configuration would be playable.

Something does not sound right......

The buyer stated this in response to my questions. The system played a Royal Rumble cartridge just fine. Never had a problem with the system. Suddenly they dont want an exchange, just their money back. This is what they said:

"Good Morning, I do have it linked to a main board. It is connected to the main board which is the master drive to the slave satellite drive by fiber optic cables and it will not load the game. This game has a total of 4 satellites with it. I have connected each one separately to the main board master drive to make sure each satellite works and the other three will load the game just fine. When I connect your cpu to it, it will not load the game. I uploaded the pictures as you requested to verify my cartridge was good. Please start the return. Thanks, Anna"

Derby Owners Club does not use Net Dimms. They should be carts. They require a network cart which is basically a passthrough. If they do not have both cards or the fiber wires are crossed when plugging it in the game will not boot correctly. They also should make sure the game is set to recognize the right amount of players. I used to run one with just a master and a single slave.

Bingo. Here's a link to a communication board on eBay now for $15. It is sandwiched between the cart and the system. If he don't have it, it won't talk. Learned this the same way. http://www.ebay.com/itm/391743658611

My exact thought

Well, system was returned as not working. We hooked it up and worked just fine (although returned with minor damage, guessing it was dropped, but has played just fine for a week in a full royal rumble. So I am clueless as to what the issue was. I think they were clueless on what they were doing. Thanx for the input and if anyone needs a NAOMI, let me know! I have an extra again.
