Hi Guys, I have an issue with my Pinball machine and was after some help if anyone can provide it. I was recently changing some bulbs over to leds in my Demolition Man machine... when i finished and put it all back together i fired up a game and noticed my bumpers and back jet bumpers were not working during gameplay. I went into switch test and the switches for them don't light up, but when the machine performs a ball search i can hear all the bumpers,,,,so they work but just not during gameplay???. I have checked everywhere and cant see any wires i may have bumped loose etc.

Any help, advise or tips would be greatly appreciated, its my first pinball machine and i don't know to much about them as i've only ever dealt with arcade cabs.

I'd take out the LEDs and put the original bulbs back in and see if that makes a difference.
It doesn't appear in your post that you've tried that.

At least isolate the thing that you changed is not the problem. Then you can go from there.

i would do a coil test to make sure your pop up are poping.and if so then you have a switch problem.changing bulbs i wouldnt think or i have never had any issues, beside installing them into old bally machine you need a differnt lamp driver board.but if you did your bulb swap when game on maybe you shorted some thing.good luck

if the coils work when in test ...the coils are good and the wires must be good. If you did replace the lights with the game on....you may have accidentally shorted the lamp wires to a coil and caused your problem. You need to test the driver board to see what has happened and get it repaired.

If the bumpers work during ball search, but do not during a game or switch test, then it's likely something in the cpu switch matrix got shorted. Maybe U20?

Thanks for all the help guys.

Tried changing the globes back..still had prob.
Searched everywhere for maybe a wire i bumped loose ect...no go

I did replace machine globes while machine was on, so will have the driver board (as cbuschief suggested) tested next.
