I've been talking about this artwork package for the 4 player cocktail for a long time and it's getting real close. I've got a test print of the main sideart from Rich and it looks fantastic. Screenprinting this was never an option as the quantity will be minimal and this is an 11 piece vinyl set without the cpo's but this will include the bezel underlay. A reprint of the cpo may be an option somewhere down the line but for now this will be for the cabinet vinyl and bezel portions only.

Since there is a boatload of black in this art, it leaves those exposed areas very vulnerable to scuffing and it won't take long before your new art looks like crap but there is an option. Rich would have to apply a screenprinted clearcoat (which adds to the cost) over all the vinyl pieces and this would pretty much make this stuff as durable as any other screened piece of art out there. Matching new pieces to old ones isn't gonna work for this project so this set includes every cabinet piece including the panels under the coin door that are black only.

Now the unknown: Until Rich chimes in with a package price, we'll be in limbo for a bit so this thread is more of a "who's interested" one so we can get an idea of how many sets to run. There probably aren't a whole bunch of these machines left out there so the run will be very small and most likely never run again. We'll get a price narrowed down shortly but keep in mind this is gonna suck up alot of ink and time so don't expect this to be a real inexpensive.

If you're interested, send myself or Rich a pm, we'll bump the post every once in a while for a couple weeks and soon it'll be all over.

I might be interested in a set or two depending on price. (as I just said on COSP).

Thanks for your hard work!

all art pieces will be silkscreeened with a clear coat to match orginal finsh
which was also orginally clear coated to add extra protection.

Are single pieces of this artwork available?
I would be in for a new set of CPO's- the ones I bought (repros) literally are falling apart- poor quality:( (I know you did not make these)

I'm in if it's free and you deliver it.
As usual Rich you're the friggin man - money up front is always the safest and best policy. ;)

Sorry to backpedal, but I just checked my 2 DD 4players and they both have pretty perfect artwork. So I guess I'm out. Hope you get enough takers to make it happen, though.

Yeah, I'm not sure what type of market there is for the whole 11 piece set; that's a lot of work to replace ALL that stuff. Most people just have a few bad pieces on their machine bugging them and to pay for the artwork that they don't care about might turn some people off.

I'm only interested in the coin door side pieces (just the ones with the car colors on them) and maybe the bezel, so if anyone wants to split a set for the CPs and sideart, let me know.

As i mentioned a long time ago, this is going to be a very limited run of this artwork. Printing individual pieces of the art really isn't a great option cuz it's a huge waste of vinyl to do it this way and the new pieces aren't gonna match the originals. Rich will confirm this for any non believers.

At this point, i'm looking into having another very small quantity of the cpo's reprinted with some material changes that should make the application easier but Rich won't be doing these. I'm way too far into this project to stop now so if there's no interest in an art package in the next couple weeks, i'm having one set done for myself and the disk will be put on a shelf somewhere, i'll bump this a couple more times but this is pretty much the final call. Send me a pm if you're in! This isn't a real cheap resto but keep in mind this is also 11 pieces of art and based off industry standards Rich's price could should have been higher than what he posted.

CPO's

@chris25810

...will you be releasing the digital files for "rikitiki" to do CPO's also ??

I have three Demolition Derby 4-players and they all could use new control panel overlays.

Didn't phoenix arcade do the cpo's already? Or are those sold out...

Wish I had a cabinet to support this project with.

CPOs ?

I have all the pieces I need to make my machine like new out of box in hand minus the artwork (which is preordered) and lastly the CPOs,

Which places have the artwork to print these? I'd hate to have a nearly new machine and then have the crummy original CPOs

Also anyone have any info on the Shifter joysticks shafts? I'd like to replace them with new shafts however I see they are not standard WICO 4" or 3.5" joysticks. My only other thought was the to use the galaga 4 way repro joysticks (with red knobs I can dye black) with the metal mount adapter. Anyone have any info on this? As far as replacement wheels I bought grant 833 wheels from amazon 30$ shipped, the dish is a little deeper if people are looking.

Thanks
Dave

What's wrong with the shafts? I just pulled mine, put them in a drill press chuck and polished them with fine sandpaper. Look good as new.

Original wheels used were 10" Superior 500 wheels, found on a few different driving games of that era. I'm about to post a few of these wheels for sale.
