I've seen a couple previous threads regarding using a Dell Optiplex 390 Desk Top with either F&F 3.06 or Drift 3.04 and issues installing/using a generic PCI parallel port card. As in the previous posts I had the same issue of the software not recognizing the card. I recently saw a listing on eBay for a Super Cars on a Dell 390 MiniTower which is using a Dell parallel port card (serial & parallel card) so it must be working with the MiniTower. Would anyone know whether a Dell card might be recognized with the Dell 390 DT and the 3.06 or3.04 software rather than a generic card? There are two Dell cards that I've looked at; one is model OVG832 and the other is OXKTC2. Also, would the USB to parallel port adapter be worth trying?

I always use the dell 380s and they all work and have built in parallel ports for the dongle. I tried to use a 390 with an aftermarket parallel port for a drift and it wouldn't recognize the dongle. It might work for supercars since the dongle is usb and not parallel.

I too have been using 380's as well but wanted to see if the 390 would work since it's listed in the Raw Thrills change log. I'm going to test a USB to a Parallel port to see if that would possibly work.

Also, check out this photo. As you pointed out the Super Cars uses a USB dongle. Then why is this computer for a Super Cars using a Dell Parallel Port card? Super Cars has a parallel cable so this card must be recognized even if it's not for a dongle.
