Just asking for advice on what strength the tool should be at minimum to work with arcade monitors. Any advice is great.

Mine doesn't have any adjustment. Just stand about 6 feet away, activate it and move it in a circle as you move towards the monitor.
Everyone needs one!!

Is that not exactly opposite as to how to degauss a monitor? I always thought it start close and move away with the final move being a 90 degree turn and off..
I got mine from an operator I bought out. It looks home made. Like they taped together 2 degaussing coils off a monitor.

Ditto... I bought that exact one from Frys. I only needed to use it a few times but it worked great.

The link doesn't seem to work.
I bought a cheapo used coil that doesn't work all that well and would probably like to upgrade... As it took me about 7 tries to get the center of the Jr. Pac-Man monitor to not be purple. Haha
I have even used the back side of an electric (plug in kind) drill. Not perfect but does get the job done with a little work.
