Always wondered if these things do a nice job. So i bought one the other night at home depot and i have to tell you, this thing is AWESOME!!! This gun cuts painting time in 1/2. I use to have to sand through like 3 coats to finnaly get that "countertop" appearence. Not with this gun. This sprayer coats cabs beautifully. No more roller marks of anything. has the professional tip on the end. Once you get the right consistency, it applies amazing... Im very happy with this.

If you got 200.00 to spend and looking for a cordless sprayer, this is the one...

What kind of paint are you spraying through it and how much are you thinning it. Any pics of a finished product?

Water base you can use oil. For every quart add 1.5 oz of water. It has measurments on side of paint jar

You really add water? I was told by someone who did a lot of airbrush work not to thin with water. He told me to eather buy stuff made for it, they sell it at hobby lobby, or to use windex. Not sure what using water hurts but I bought the stuff from hobby lobby.

Not at all. I've been into model hobby since I was a kid. Painted everything from d&d lead figures to anime resign models. Ever hear of washing effect? Good for shadowing. Thinning it with water won't hurt nothing. Wait to you see a pic of the out come..

nothing wrong with thining with water.. extends the drying time though.

I've read flowtrol is best.. used it myself with latex.. worked fine.

Sounds cool and thanks for sharing. what kind of work enviroment did you spray in? I would really like to use something like this in a double bay garage - with a filter mask on, of course. I always wondered if did spray in the garage, would I have to rig up an enclosure made from tarps in order to contain the cloud of paint that would be created by spraying. I do have a lot of shelves on the walls that I do not want to get a lot of paint on.

The thing about overspray is that it doesn't really stick to anything - it just appears like dust. The particles dry in the air and settle. So if you don't curtain things off (or cover them) they'll just get dusty. Unless they're so close that wet paint gets on them. In that case, you need a bigger garage. :)
