I've been noticing something and wonder if it's been covered before, I have a Defender cabinet that I know is original and the art on the left side is what I would call backwards, I actually like it the way it is, I was reading caddysrule post about his last buy and noticed his is the same way mine is.

So, if you have a Defender what is the orientation of your side art and what way is considered right ?

caddysrule pic on the left and how I see most of them on the right.

Yep, the mirrored spaceman is one of at least 7 variants of defender sideart I know of.

You have a good eye I would have never caught that :)

The early Defenders had the two sides that appear different where they used the same stencil pattern on both sides like in the flyer. Later versions had the art identical on both sides where the humanoid is positioned under the R on both sides. Also if you notice some versions have yellow stars on the front around the coin door and some had red.
