Anyone just replaced that front panel(kick) underneath the panel with the coin door? It's the only part of the cab that is mdf. Thinking of best way to deal...it looks like it should just pop out but. good to be cautious.

Looks like you CAN'T remove the panel(waiting for 100% confirmation) without taking the cab apart so I will have to use other methods...likely have to use the wood hardner and sanding approach. Only damn part of the cab(haven't checked the top) that is mdf...unfortunately that part of the panel is soft....so will just have to deal. The rest of the cab is in GREAT shape.

LOL! Man I missed it...I appreciate you going through all that trouble to try to help me out, TY!

What was news to me by a more informed person than myself on how these things are built is these Williams cabs were made by different manufacturers.

You can get it off without removing the joints, but you will have to saw it out.

I have seen this done, where they cut a straight line maybe 6" up from the bottom, and replace just the damaged part of the MDF.

An oscillating saw would work well for the finer cuts.

Yours doesn't look too horrible, though. You might be able to use wood hardener and sand it down.

Thanks! I've been on the search looking and I've seen some amazing results using different methods. I have considered removing a section of it as one of the options...I'm going to try the wood hardner sanding option first...if the results ends up sucking that's what I'll have to do. Thanks again!
