Don't trust the lights. Break out your Meter and test the actual voltages.

There are some fairly standard steps for dealing with these Williams board sets.
Potential [voltage] at the 4 corners of a couple of RAM is 1. Check that out and report back. Next I would need to know how far into the boot you are getting: do you ever 'get rug'?

here's the weird thing, I shut it down got in and started checking wires and when i turned it back on everything was fine. I'm not sure what happened... but also the monitor will not turn on when i first start up the machine.. i have to turn it on a couple times to get it to fire up.. any hints on that? thanks everyone for the quick responses.

Order a complete new wiring harness from Dokert.

Just my $0.02 worth,

Maybe the tube needs to warm up a bit before you get a picture?

The monitor might be slow to come on or the power connector might be loose and flicking the switch nudges the wires enough to make connection.

i thought it might have needed to warm up so i tried turning it on and letting it sit but that doesnt work, it's just weird because its like the monitor doesn't turn on at all. You dont hear the monitor pop untill i have tried it about 5 times.

That's messed up.

Do you hear the game come up even when the monitor doesn't power up? Or do you think the entire cabinet isn't getting power until you hear that pop sound from the monitor?

Leave the back door off/open while you're doing this. See if you see any other signs of life when the monitor is not working.

The monitor is straight AC power. If it's not coming on every time you hit the switch, then you've got a bad wiring connection somewhere.

I had this happen with our Robotron and one fuse holder was loose so the fuse barely made contact. I took the fuse out, pinched it tighter and it's worked fine ever since.
