I'm in the process of re-doing my Defender CP, and ran into a snag. All of the dimensions I've found for the control panel wood show it to be 3/4", and the original CPO was 1/16" or a tad more. The replacement CPO I have is 3/32".

Well if you put a 3/32" CPO on 3/4" wood then the T-molding will not cover the wood + the CPO edge. What am I missing? Is the CPO supposed to overhang the T-molding a little?

Just checked my original panel and you are correct on the measurements...1/16 CPO and 3/4 CP. Sounds like the overlay was made too thick but will probably be ok if it sticks up past the t-molding a little. Some people put plexi over the CPO to protect it.

Just did a test assembly and yes, the CPO sticks up over the t-molding just a tad but you gotta really be looking at it to tell. This CPO is lexan with the artwork underneath so should be ok.
