I have a Defender Ccoktail that works fine, but the picture will not flip for player two as well as the controls. Player one and payer two can only get played on the player one side. I checked the versions of both the pcb & i/o board and they are both the later versions. I switched out both the pcb & i/o board with aonther working set and still get the same results. My question, is there something special or a setting that it needs to be on in order for it to know its in a cocktail table?

There are jumpers on the I/O (interface) board that need to be changed to go from upright to cocktail. For a cocktail game, jumper W2 must be connected and W1 must be removed. I'll try to dig up a picture...

Does robotron-2084.co.uk have a pic of the I/O board that labels the jumpers? I've seen (and have a copy of) the jumper chart for the sound board, but I don't remember one for this board. Would save me a bit of extracting/converting images.

This is from the later pcb drawing manual, the note in the bottom right corner explains everything.

No, but page 13 of the manual shows it perfectly.

You guys are the SH..! All this time I spent trying to figure it out what the hell it could be and all I had to do is snip W1 off all this time. It is working like a charm now. The original i/o board that was in the game I got was bad so I replaced it with a good one, but never new or realized that the W1 had to be removed. Thanks Dokert and AMG! The little thumbnail drawing make me understand a lot better after looking at it and then the 2 i/o boards I have.
