Just picked up a nice Defender and noticed that the leg levelers are 1/4" thread.

The t-nuts and mounting blocks all look original. I'm curious if all Defenders (and other Williams games) had the smaller threads.

Anyone know where to find 1/4" Teflon levelers? Thanks

Nope, I've owned dozens of Williams uprights over the years. They were all 3/8" thread. Is this a Defender cocktail?

It will be cheaper and easier to just change out your t-nuts and go with a standard 3/8" thread leg leveler.

This is a full-size upright cabinet and the mounts are definitely from the factory.

Here's the size comparison (pretty obvious why they're broken).

Buy 3/8" T-nuts from the hardware store. Stronger and no need to track down levelers.

Do you have a pic of one of the unbroken 1/4" levelers?

Thanks for all the replies. Clearly, this Defender is unbelievably rare and valuable due to the smaller levelers!! ;-).

I'll take your suggestions and replace with the the more robust 3/8"

I am restoring my Defender and I have to agree your 1/4" levelers are not original. Also, the wooden block that it is screwed into should be a triangle, not square. Notice how your wooden square looks a lot more "fresh" compared to the surrounding wood.

I'll have to try to get pictures later, but I can confirm that my early silver door Defender has square mounting blocks and 1/4" leg levelers as well. Maybe it's a silver door thing (assuming yours has a silver door...)

my silver door has no leg levelers. I also have a broken off triangle from it. :)

I'm guessing those were only stapled in and that's why they broke off so easy. I was given a set of wheels for it, but there's no holes in the bottom. it'll just have to get moved delicately on a carpet dolly when we move sometime this spring for now.

Yes - mine is also a silver door. I know the square blocks look "new" in the pics, but I think that is a factor of the flash. I knew there had to be another one out there. Thanks for the confirmation!
