Well found a post on CL today and called. Guy wanted $150 ea for a Space Inv Deluxe and Asteroids... Both semi working... But cabs in good shape... So... I decide to go for it. Work in Ohio... Live in PA and games in NY... SO what would any dedicated KLOVr do? Yup... Got my buddies trailer and headed out at 4... Was to be a 2 he round trip... 4 hrs later and freeked out I made it home...

So, as I left work it started to snow... Well... Bu the time I was 1/2 there it was comming down so hard I could only see 20' in front of me. Traffic to 25mph on the interstate... To top it off the pick was in BFE and i mean BFE... No lights, no where to turn around.. Can't see a damn thing...

So find the place and the guy is a hillbilly.. Nice enough guy but... WOW... So we drag the two games up a snow covered hill and put this in a OPEN trailer... Good thing I brought tarps and wrapped the games in his house.

Just a stressful trip and SO glad to be home safe... I will also say this... If anyone is around this area, give Dan a call. If you are willing to brave it, he has a nice frogger that I bet you could pick up for $100 or less! And yes it works! He mentioned to me that he wife said he should just sell them all, and I think he would have... And I would have bought if it was not a life and death on the way home and the fact of tring to drag anouther game up the hill...

What makes this trip worth all this? $170 for both... Not free... But close enough.

Both machines look good but that SID looks great. I've seen Asteroids that nice recently but haven't seen a SID that pretty in a long time. Beautiful game. Congrats!

Thank all... Just glad to be back... Did tweak my back pulling those up the hill... Getting old...er... Sux.

So, will post this to the repair section. Going to start some tests maybe this weekend. The SID shows lines through the game (assume RAM?) and SID is upside down with a twitch lol... runs like me... Will start with power and connections, will check all that of course.

I'm pretty sure the braze kit eliminates most stuff on your board it at least doesn't use the roms maybe not the stock ram either.

I'd replace the interconnect. I need to do that on mine. It causes intermittent issues from bumps to the game. With the braze kit it will come up with bit spice errors sometimes. It's worth a shot anyway before you even get the kit. I might have a spare kit to sell if you're interested pm me.
