I have a friend of mine that has a Smash TV 25 inch dedicated in pretty damn nice shape he is selling. I'm sort of interested in it, but I only have room for one more game, and I was hoping to make it a pinball machine. But, it's nice. Can get pics in a few days.

Needs a new power supply, as it turns on for about a minute, then dies. I'll give you a better idea as to how it plays once it's up and running. I'm planning on putting a new pow supply in it as soon as I get one. Side art was in really nice shape. Nice cpo. Needs new locks, but beyond that, it's very good.

He is looking for $300 in as is condition, but it really only needs a pow supply and it's good to go. If no offers, I'll throw that in and get it working 100% and I ASSUME he will want a little more. Not much, but you know.

If anyone is interested, drop me a line. If nobody jumps, I may just get it myself. It really is in very good shape.

Will get pics soon. Sorry to all for no pics... I know it's a drag. Comes with the manual. Screen shows the game boots up fine, then the power supply just gives out. Nice sides, marquee, and cpo. I have some left over MK2 red t moding I will be putting on here for him... not that it needs it, but it can't hurt. Replaced both buttons for him. Needs new locks for door. No stupid lock down bar. Nice machine.

$300 for a good Smash TV is a steal. Someone should grab this if the functionality straightens out. Awesome game.

The more I have people ask about it, the more I feel I should have bought it. lol...

Now, for the record, I wasn't calling it mint... as many of you know, I'm stupid anal retentive. I will say that it requires a few things to be up there, in my book. The inside is dusty. The wires leading to the coin box have been cut to hell for, what I could tell, no reason what so ever. But, with just a few things, it would be in very very good condition. I was surprised, personally.

Will drive back to the fellow's house today and take pics. If I can get my hands on a power supply today (I'm going to call a buddy that has a few on hand), I will replace that today ton confirm the game works perfectly. All I could see is the load up screen show all the roms were good, then the game demo for about 3 seconds. So, hang tight people. :)

Update on info (with photos).

i replaced the power supply in this, and now it turns on and all.... but the monitor is still only on now and then. When it's on, it looks nice... for about 5 seconds. Then it's off again. I haven't had any time to clean it, and quite frankly, I'd leave that up to the guy actually selling it. I posted two pics. The front black clearly needs to be washed up a bit... the monitor, from what I could tell for the few moments it was on, looked awesome. Very very little burn in.

So, since I still can't get it running, I'll guess the hot is bad on the monitor? Maybe the flyback? Not sure as of now. He's taking offers as is until I figure it out. The monitor was a WG 52xxx model (what it said on the board). Wish I could give more info, but if you're interested, start making offers. The more I fix, the more updates on this I will make.. but it's sort of tough, since it's not mine nor is it at my house. :(

In closing, what it needs now:

Figure out what's wrong with the monitor and why it won't stay on (obviously)
Put new locks in... both are missing on the front for some stupid reason
Clean up the sticker gunk on the cab
Replace the starter and/or light... but I told him to go do that himself. It's easy enough that he can do that on his own.

That's it. I'm replacing both start buttons, and I checked the gun side sticks (as you can hear both fire in all directions). I will make sure all that is working fully, if/when I get the monitor up. Thanks again for looking. :)

must. resist. must. resist. MUST. RESIST.

I'll stick to MAME. but yeah, what an awesome deal. lol

The monitor is probably shutting itself down as it needs caps..

When you get a chance, you want to check the roms on the pcb. you want to put in the level 8 roms. Most will say L1, but there are 2 at the top of the main board that will have a different number. L8 is what you want.

yeah, monitor's probably exhibiting all kinds of power-related anomalies cause of caps, which is probably stressing something to the point of HV shutdown.

I've never even heard of the model # you're talking about, lol.

as far as the roms, yeah, those are the "pleasure dome" roms. those make a big difference. god this game was awesome.

it's one of my favorite sidearts too, still looks awesome even 20 years later.

Wish you were in NE. Would buy this in a second. I have a working Smash TV conversion and really need to find a good dedicated cab to put my components into. Good luck on the sale! Great looking game, great price.
