Hey folks,

Just curious if anyone has scans of/prints Dedicated NBA Jam Artwork/control panel overlays?

I didn't see it listed on any of the usual sites.

**EDIT**

I see that JediDentist did a scan a while ago for the CPO.

Still no luck finding out anything about sideart.

Gameongrafix.com used to carry it, but apparently the NBA isn't too cool about licensing, so he doesn't carry it anymore. My CPO scan was of the TE version. I believe Rich/Rikitiki has it and might be able to print you off a copy, but I can't confirm that.

When he DID carry it, did Scott have the dedicated art, or the kit stuff? On a side note, I really wish folks like Warner Bros. and the NBA would license folks the right to print this artwork and just charge them a royalty per print that they could pass on to the end customer.

Would anyone really suffer from that?

Yea, I know...they don't care.

I have the conversion artwork and was going to scan it but i'd rather put the time and effort into a non conversion set (one with the Shoot,Jump, Turbo, Start labels and stick men ect).

The art he had was similar to a dedicated, but I recall it not being totally accurate. I think it was mostly how things like the Midway or NBA logo lined up to the basketball background. It would be awesome if Jam got the same treatment from Rich @ ThisOldGame someday. My Jam is badly faded like many are.

Poor Rich.

He bravely took on the MK1 art, and now all of us silver age fans are coming out of the woodwork with future projects we want to see him do. I've already bothered him to the point of annoyance about accurate Mk 2/3 art.

I'd love to see him do Jam, KI, TMNT, Area51, Simpsons, and of course MK2/3.

He may be pretty burnt out on silver age after the MK art though.

As us folk who were silver age arcade kids get into our 30's/40's I predict an increased demand for accurate art for these games.

If we buy more i'm sure he'll make them, once the mk1 stuff is fixed and i get my cab stripped i'm going to place my order for mk1, i've also bothered him about some nba jam cpo repro's (i'd even use the TE one i think) it's the only thing i'm missing really from my restore.

i'd love to see those games repro'd especially ki1, jam and would love to see smash tv, total carnage (super rare), and T2/revX done as well.

Yea, I forgot about T2 and revX. Staples of a 90's arcade.

I secretly wish for Trog dedicated Repro, even though I don't have the cab.

I've never played smashtv but I hear a ton of good things about it.

Anyways...here's to hoping someone does some "underground" dedicated JAM sides!

I think I have a NBA Jam marquee and pcb if needed. Don't know if the pcb works i'll check if anyone is interested.
