I just got my K7000 chassis back from the repair shop, and now I plug it into my MK3 cab and there is no neck glow but I hear the game playing... What can the problem be??? Bad tube???

Send it back!

I have over a 100 games and I have never had a tube break its always the chassis. If you have power going to the chassis you should just send it back for repairs again, it sounds like its still broken.

You can check for B+ voltage on your chassis. I should be around 130v DC. If it isn't, then you still have a chassis problem.

I just tested the chassis on a neighbors simpsons and it works perfect... now something is either wrong with the 3 tubes I have tried or the cab itself... suggestions??? Appreciate it

I would re-check the voltage coming from the isolation transformer. It seems unlikely that you'd have 3 bad WG K7000 compatible tubes, but it could happen. You can also try your neighbors chassis with your tubes, if he'll let you.

Ok, update.... I brought my chassis to my neighbors and it works fine on his Simpsons machine. I found a tube that worked with the same chassis in my Neo Geo cab. I put the working tube and chassis in the MK3 and it would blow the fuse on the chassis. Figured out it wasn't grounded from the power going in, grounded it and now no blowing of any fuses but still no picture. Now where should I look??? I hate monitors... lol

O.k., let me get this straight.....

repaired chassis and original tube = no neck glow

repaired chassis and "known good" Simpsons tube = working monitor

repaired chassis and "known good" Neo tube = blowing fuse and eventually no picture

Are these correct?

Have you tried your repaired chassis in the Neo cab with the Neo's tube? If not, do that. And if it works in the Neo cab, you have a problem with your MK cab.

Everything correct except for the last one, repaired chassis with good tube in Neo Geo = works perfect... So I am guessing something is wrong with the MK3 cab, although when I got it the monitor that was in there worked just bad picture, so I swapped it with the known working K7000...

So you tested the repaired chassis in the Neo cab, with the Neo's tube? Or did you test the repaired chassis in the MK cab, with the Neo's tube?

I would assume that is referring to the cab's main fuse. But that part of the manual's troubleshooting part is for the cab doing nothing when turned on. If the main fuse was blown you wouldn't be getting any game sounds or power led's lit up on the gameboard.

I would measure the DC voltage coming from the iso. transformer to the monitor.

No power to the monitor but I can hear the game playing...

Yeah, then going from what you have done/tried it is safe to say you have a issue with the cab. Since you hear the game sounds, your cab fuse isn't blown. You have to start following the wiring from the power chord to the the iso. trans, and from there to the monitor.
