Dedicated Major Havoc Repro Panels!

the grills should be the same for firefox and I-robot.

There is nothing behind the grills. the speakers mount with their own bracket and screw into the wood.

You got a source to borrow them from? Anybody know if there is any other hardware under the top grills?

Yes, I have a local collector who offered to bum be whatever metal I need for MH.

I have to go to the metal shop next week, I can see if I can bring them with and at least get his opinion on doing them (yes or no) There would be a miimum of 25 of each part (25 pairs/sets)

Most likely someone who orders (like me) will order sets anyway. :)

nice work for the collectors out there... i doubt i'll ever get a MH but there aren't many ways i can contribute machining to this hobby and i just stumbled upon this thread... i'm not sure what the cost of the front piece (or any other machined (not sheet metal formed/punched, but billet pieces machined)) will affect the overall interest, but i can probably provide such parts for the project very cheaply

if you're interested in getting some help, PM me...

Gotcha down Pat.

I've been talking to Gwarble via pm. We'll see what my quote comes back at before I try to go another route.

Ok, I finally got my quote back. Its $115 per panel. This will include powder coated smooth panel, front bar machined & powder coated fine texture black. Hardware that mounts front bar to panel is also included & assembled. Shipping should be easy as I think these will fit nicely into a flat rate box. What do ya guys think? I'd need about 18 presold, which we are almost there. I'd be making 25.

Anybody know other forum users that might want to get in on this? Only need a few more!

I can post on RGVAC. I dont hang out on the vector list. Perhaps somebody who hangs over there can cross post...

sounds like you're gonna stick with the single source supplier (which i don't blame you) maybe the next project i can get involved early enough to help... does anyone have pics of the speaker grills you guys are talking about... i don't have an image (or one in my head) but there was talk of it being made from aluminum extrusion...

detailed pics would be great so i can see if it could be accurately reproduced via machining from billet instead of extrusion (because an extrusion die will be cost prohibitive)
