Heres the WTB thread that sparked this: http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=174680 I posted this over here as the WTB section does not quite fit anymore.....

Latest update:

Ok, sample panel was dropped off at metal shop. First thing he commented on was the heavy metal stock on the front. He said he would have to CNC Aluminum stock to get the correct shape. That part alone will be pricey, so I dont think these will be real cheap, but we'll see what he comes back with on a quote for a complete panel.

If there is not enough interest, I dont wanna wast anyones time. Please post in this thread or PM if you are interested in this.

I do have one question. Is that front metal piece textured? It looks like it was on my sample but seems to be rubbed smooth towards the middle. Anybody got one they can confirm or deny this? ANSWER - textured front piece, rest is smooth.

I just looked at the one I posted pics of and it looks like a solid aluminum block with a textured paint finish.

There is a small portion on the corner of the panel that the paint has chipped off. The surface looks smooth on the exposed side.

pics did not come out too hot..

Oh! So it is textured paint or finish? I was thinking somehow the metal was textured.

Anyway I'm in!!!!!!!!!

Ok, from what I understand the metal block at the end of the panel is textured. The rest of the panel is smooth. This is how I am having it quoted at the moment.

Good to know! I'm glad its a textured finish on the metal, because textured metal would have been expensive I would think.

I'll help your cause troy like I did with the Quantum parts. I'll be in for one. I am surprised more people aren't jumping in on this, you know once the run is done, about 5 people will be wanting one as they missed the boat.

Thanks Luke. I'm sure these won't be cheap. I'm only gonna do the bare minimum. I don't wanna sit on a ton of money :(

I'm surprised at the lackluster interest so far. Maybe you need to do a package of CP, speaker grills and marquee brackets, etc... :) Not quite sure about those other parts as I don't have any of them. Are the speaker covers aluminum?

The sides are extruded aluminum I believe. I know those will not be cheap. I can investigate it, but no guarantees. Marquee brackets would be no problem.

Are the side pieces marked L & R or are they the same? That would make a difference.

Since when is anything dedicated major havoc cheap?

To answer your question Troy, the speaker fins are side specific.
