As I have been slowly turning my Relief Pitcher back into the Wizard of Wor it originally was, I have been running into all kinds of little structural modifications the operator, in his supreme cleverness, decided to make to this poor cabinet.
1. Filled in part of the t-molding channel with bondo...that was fun to carve back out!
2. Added a big ugly control panel, using not only 32 screws, but also half a can of wood glue...good times!
3. added an extra piece of wood above the marquee so the wider RP marquee would fit...this one had me scratching my head at first last night when my NOS WoW marquee was too small to fit!
4. Bolted a big piece of MDF over the entire back of the cab to fix the back door which was cracked...I have no functioning back door at the moment, but thaat is a project for the future!
5. Added and removed various pieces of wood around where the CP goes...I won't know the extent of this for sure until I get my replacement WoW CP and attempt to mount it.
6. The wiring is hacked up like crazy...I have a complete replacement harness on the way!
7. The sliding tray for the PCB is long gone!
This is what I have discovered so far anyways! I don't fault the operator for doing what he had to do to convert this badboy, in fact, it is making the job more interesting and challenging (Despite abit of swearing on my part!) I will appreciate this, my all-time favorite game, even more when it is finished because of these extra challenges!
