Ca ayone provide me with pics of what a working cassette player should look like. I need to replace the rubber band. The one that was in there appears to have simply melted. Its broke and when I touch it its just sludge in my fingers... Want to replace it and see if the drive works otherwise. I can feel the motor spin and I get a cassette error for obvious reasons...
 
Take a string and loop it through where the belt was. Use that to determine the length of the belt and buy one slightly smaller.

Good luck finding belts these days though. :(
 
I guess I have some other problem. I used a rubber band and the drive would spin and give me an error 52 and occasionally error 59. Now it won't spin at all. Band is still in place.
