Ok, so I decided to try using Pac Decals instead of stenciling this go around.

Prep work is the same, nice smooth primed cab, and then laid out the new graphics. The hardest area to do is the kick panel, because of the edge lip.

Over all I really like the look, and so did the client. The graphics are not exactly like a Midway, but pretty close.

Would you do this to a cab you were going to keep for yourself? I have 3 Pac cabs that need art so I suppose this may be the best alternative.

I just did a Ms. Pac the same way that I'm going to keep.

It's hard to say. I know most everyone here paints with Latex, or oil based. So they get stencil lines most likely.

I paint with automotive paints, and sand out alot of that before clear, then smooth my clear before buffing. So I don't have lines.

With the decal, you have a uniform color, texture (provided you did the prep good) and the over all sheen looks very good as well.

I was rather impressed with the look of the decal.

Personally though, I think I'll stick with my painted cabs.

That looks very nice...

What did you do in your prep for cab prior to installing decals....I've heard many methods and your results show what ever you did seems to yield a very nice result..
