i'm getting ready to start my death race restoration and when bringing home the control panel from my storage unit today, i realized that both steering wheels are missing the cap in the middle.

obviously the steering wheels are the same type (superior performance products / the "500)used on old atari driving games like gran trak 10 or sprint, so it's clear that an exidy game doesn't use an atari cap, but i was wondering whether there are any other caps to be placed on the wheels - caps without the atari logo. all the death race photos i've seen so far show the wheels without the caps, so does that mean there is none?

somehow the wheel is empty without it PLUS there is an empty hole where normally the cap would "slide in".

let's here from you guys now ...

thx guys.
somehow the wheels look empty without any caps!

Probably because they look like they are real after market steering wheels from the 70's and should have those big round chrome horn buttons on them like they would if they were in your sparkley purple dune buggy.

And they are.....

This would be a creat horn button for them...

but this is what I expect to see...

my dune buggy isn't purple! ;)

but the steering wheels in those auctions also have the extra hole for the cap. can someone make me one with an engraved skull instead of the atari logo? that would rock!!!
