I am not the foremost expert on Midway sound board repair.
I don't do electronics repairs besides replacing caps and transistors. sometimes a bridge rectifier.
I can tell you how to hook it up properly. I can tell you how to fix a game rom issue, because these are problems that I personally experienced.
FYI: all my sound boards work.
so yes, I'm not trying to sound like a dick here, but I can't offer you much help outside of checking that your voltages are getting there, and that you hooked everything up right. sometimes guys will message me and say they're missing a ribbon cable or the power harness, or they have neither. yes, this will cause sound board troubles. replacements can be had at Bob Roberts or if you need a ribbon cable in a pinch, a computer IDE cable can suffice. the parts to make a power harness are immediately available through Happ or Bob Roberts, it's a .156 female flat molex, get the pins and the matching connector. then use 18 gauge wire.
outside of that, I don't diagnose what makes them not work anymore. I especially don't know anything about Revolution X, I've never even seen one of those cabs in real life, and I've been around video games since I was born.
I'm sorry.
best of luck in all your future ventures, but if someone knew how to fix one of these I'm sure they would be worshiped here. in essence: go find a working one if you want immediate results. they can be had at KLOV, Bob Roberts (which is the MK1/NBA Jam style if I recall), or ebay. ebay is not the bane of all that is evil that everyone here makes it out to be, I've bought a LOT of stuff there and it all works.
thank you.
