Deal or No Deal Machine

We have one locally also. My wife played a game on it but otherwise it wasn't getting that much love.

We were on vacation in Daytona Beach and went to an arcade on the boardwalk they had one of those machines and people were lined up to play it.

That's how it was where we were at, too. Although, the game didn't have much competition in this particular "arcade", as it was full of kiddie redemption machines.

Well, they DO have a Galaga/Ms. Pac reunion cab, but when you can just continue your way to the top of the scoreboard, who gives a shit about that?

im saying for home use just get either the dvd game or the plug and play version, no tickets but really do you have tickets in your house

I just came across one of these machines and decided to film a little clip of it action.

As expected, there's not much "game" to it, but I really like the looks of the cab.

I was thinking about buying some of these for our movie theatre game rooms. I was thinking that it would be cool if the machine could give out coupons for movie passes, snack bar items, gift cards and maybe even more tokens.

What do you guys think?

Judging by how popular the machine seems to be, I think it would definitely be worth adding.

I was at one of the many go-kart/arcade's in Pigeon Forge in around 2001, and they had a game that did that. It was a 'spin the virtual wheel and land on a ticket payout' game. There were certain spots on the wheel that won you a special prize. It would then print out a coupon for free lasertag, go-carts, tokens, or food.

All the places where i have seen this machine, people line up to play it. I don't know how you would set it up to dispense different prizes though since I believe it will only do tickets. You would need someone to be standing by to trade prizes for tickets in order to do this. It would be great if you could do this though. I know I would play.

We've had one at our local arcade and it got a ton of play when it was new, but it's pretty lonely these days... that's just from visual evidence though (I'm there 1-2 times a week), the bookkeeping logs might show otherwise.

Think this would be a great idea. But you could make it easy on yourself and just use the tickets and redeem for the items you mentioned. You could make 'golden tickets' for that matter and let them be automatic winners. Quite a few ways to make this attractive.
