Deal or No Deal issue, need help to get this running before the weekend

Hey all, just had a mobo blow up on me on Deal or No Deal. I bought a motherboard with the same connections on back and a NForce 430 Chipset, which should technically work. I ran the restore disc (1.06.somethingsomethingsomething). It comes up and says Error loading OS when it tries to boot. I am assuming this may be because I have an outdated restore disc. Can someone PM me a more recent version (assuming there is one). I am in a bind here because unlike Raw Thrills who keeps a nice update page with restore images, ICE does not, in which case I would not be able to get the disc until next Wednesday at the earliest. If anyone has seen this before and knows its not from the image, please also share your thoughts. Thanks!

You sure you've got the BIOS set to boot from CD first? If its trying to boot from a blank hard drive it will say that.

You may also need to fiddle with the jumpers on the drives (assuming they are PATA/IDE). Some boards play nice with the drives no matter how they are configured. Some, not so nice.

Clarification

Sorry, reread my original post and realized it was bit unclear. I ran the restore disc and it installed just fine. Then, I removed the disc and rebooted the game. That is when the error loading OS comes up.

OK, I've seen that... Hmm.... Yeah, mess with the jumpers on the hard drive. Or make sure that its the #2 boot device in the BIOS.

I don´t remember if that game uses a hard drive or loads the program in an USB stick, if it does with USB pen drive, you need to enable the usb boot in setup of the mobo, let me know... I have V.01.07.05SP, but is in spanish, besides weight is high, 2.6gb, it would take 1 day to upload somewhere you would download...

Can you post the mobo maker and model # ?

Also, do you have the specific version # of the restore
disk you used ? I will be at work later and will check my archives.
None of my current gigs have a DonD so whatever I have is over
a year old.

D or No D

the motherboard is a Winfast (I believe same as Foxconn) MCP61PM2-MA GeForce 6150. It has the NForce 430, a serial and parallel port. I knew it was a gamble buying it, but was hoping with all the variables it would work. I will try setting the HDD to cable select, as I currently have it to Master. I also replaced the DVD drive with a SATA because the one that was in there was not getting recognized by the bios to run the restore disc (they were both on cable select at that point). Hopefully that doesn't make a difference. My exact restore version is 1.06.03 DN2090x

Edit: tried switching jumper on HDD to Cable select, still nothing.

The newest version I have is 1.06.08 but it's 2.8 gigs so not something
I can E-Mail.

Is HHD recognized in setup? If yes, enter boot sequence selection and set it as the first boot device, if not, replace ide cable, if still not being recognized, mobo ide port would be bad. Try with a sata HDD, if IDE CDROM was not recognized and yes SATA, there is a big chance sata hdd work ok.
