So I just picked up an NFL 2000 Blitz with a dead monitor. I hear game play but nothing on the screen. I don't know a lot about them but I saw a resistor/ceramic chip and I'm not getting the ohms it states. I do however have neck glow and proper voltage. Ideas?

you have a K7000.

that is a good monitor.

you can try turning up the screen pot on the flyback to see if that gets you anything on the screen.

if the chassis has never been serviced, it needs it.

cold solder, bad caps and an old flyback can cause any # of issues.

i would start with a fly, caps and a re-flow then you will have a known starting point to work from.

if you need parts i have them.

if you need it repaired, your welcome to send it in.

Peace

Turned up the flyback. I was able to get something on the screen. I reseated all the cables and still the same appearance

yup definitely check the wiring coming from the game pcb to the monitor input header. check continuity on it to make sure.

heh

is your power supply dead? take a gander at the Blitz board. if you have no lights or you hear a strange buzzing sound then I would work on that first.

Since you said you can hear game play, check the dip settings making sure you are set to standard res (blitz could do med or standard res).
