I have a showtime box with nfl blitz and nba in it but the monitor does not work?
I was wondering something. If i got juice through the flyback going to monitor and still no picture is the monitor dead or can there be another prob.
It has no glow on the neck.
found a voltage reg loose so i jumped the wires, now it makes every 2 secs a noise like a hsss, hsss, hsss. know what i mean.
If you need more info like part #'s ill get them for you.

Jumped the wires? What are you talking about?

This monitor needs to be identified first, and it sounds like you have a blown HOT at the very least...

the heat sink that has a transistor on it was lose and the solder joins were lose so i fixed it then the hsssing noise came into play after that.let me run out to the garage to get part #'s

Take a pic of this repair and post it here please, as well as an overall pic of the entire chassis....

the d1133 transistor came loose so i fixed that.the sound it makes now is a ticking sound every sec tick,tick,tick...

Can't help much until you have the tools to test with. Ticking is caused by the power section trying to turn on,but immediately being shut down by the over-current protection circuit - over & over. This usually means the HOT (horizontal output transistor) is bad, but it could be caused by caps or other things, too. Not sure if the D1133 is the HOT or not...
