Just picked up a Centipede for 50.00 yesterday, I checked all fuses, jumped all safty switchs, jumped on/off switch, still dead, no power to monitor or power supply, There is power at switchs, and going into the tranformer section, Any ideas?

I checked that also, I have ac after the filter. Almost looks like a bad transformer, I dont have the wiring diagram, but it looks like it goes through the filter into another connecter and into the transformer, not getting anything out, Would the regulater do this? no power to the monitor?

do you have power coming out of the backside of the monitor iso transformer?

Check the cabinet interlock switches... then the inputs and outputs on the line filter... if all that looks good then lift up the power brick and look under it.

It's common for some of the connectors and or fuse holders to burn.

You missed something...

If you have no power at the blue cap then you need to go back again and check on what you missed.

Check the outlet... is it working? Is the breaker tripped?

Do you have continuity between the power cable plug and where it connects inside the cabinet? Yes? Move to the next step. No? Replace the power cord.

Follow the wires. Is there a power switch on the top of the cab or on the back panel? Check it for continuity. Check the wires to it for continuity.

Same thing for the interlocks...

With the power cord unplugged, pull out on all the interlocks to lock them into an "on" position. Turn the power switch on the cab on. With that, you should have continuity from the power switch all the way to the primary on the transformer.

If you do, great! Move on to checking the secondary of the transformer. If not, check again to see where the wires are not connected or where the problem is.

Check all fuse holders for burnt / melted / corroded connections. Check all fuses for continuity - don't just look at them. They could be broken under the metal caps were you can't see the break. You should have continuity across the transformer secondary and across all fuses.

Did all that, no power coming out of the transformer sec. If everyone reads the first post, all interlocks jumped, on/off jumped

Man...it's either going to be something really obscure, or something so simple that when you finally discover it you curse like a sailor for overlooking it.
