Daytona VR button bulbs- what # are they and who has 'em?

Maybe dumb question, but I have not been able to find replacement bulbs for the VR buttons on a Daytona twin.
The originals say Izumi 6.3v1w-m which are 6.3 volt 1 watt mini bayonet based bulbs, but I can only locate 14 v bulbs (#53), which are dim, except for one place I found on the internet and minimum order was $25 for the original Izumi!
Anyone know what an acceptable bulb would be and where to get it?

Dunno anything about the subject game, but #44 and #47 bulbs are the most common ones in pinball machines, and they're 6.3V mini bayonete base bulbs. The former will consume about 1.5W, the latter about 1W.

Many many suppliers for these. I get them in boxes of 10 from pinballlife.com (about $1 a box).

Thanks for the reply but those have too big of a glass bulb to fit where they need to. I have some of the ones you mentioned. What's needed is a smaller glass bulb size. They may be as common as the #44 and #47's but haven't found them so far.
Again thanks for trying. Still looking.

Is the glass bulb of a #44/#47 "too big" as in: Too large in diameter? or too long?

The bulb diameter of a 44/47 is only a bit bigger than the diameter of the minature bayonete base. (They're T 3-1/4, which means tubular in shape, and the number is the diameter in eighths of an inch... 3.25/8=0.406"). I don't find bulbs in a miniature bayonete base with a diameter any smaller than 3-1/4. So I'm guessing either you're talking about the length, or it's not actually a miniature bayonete (BA9s) base.

Can you post a pic and perhaps some measurements?

EDIT: Oops, I just looked up your #53. It's a globe shape (G 3-1/2) not a tubular (T-type). The bulb is actually a little larger in diameter, but much shorter. In that case, try looking at a #51. Should be the same size/shape, but for lower voltage. Bob Roberts sells them, as does Pinball Resource, Marco Specialties, and McMcaster-Carr.
