Hi guys,

I'm having some video trouble with my Daytona USA twin. Some of the textures on the car's windshield and background are flashing or wrong. I've got 5.15 volts at the board. It's clearly a board issue as I swapped boards and it does the same thing in the other cab. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here's the video:

did you try taking apart the board stack and pulling and reinstalling all the roms?

your voltage sounds good, did you meter at the roms?

got a Daytona USA twin that we run in our game room, after awhile the friggin voltage skyrockets from the little kids probably jumping in and out of the game. when it gets too low or too high it'll do all kinds of weird stuff with the graphics. :)

Yes, I took the stack apart and reseated all the roms. I'm assuming the video board is the bottom board. I suppose the next step is to swap chips with my working board to see if I can narrow it down...

yeah, I don't know. never had any board-specific problems with ours *knock on wood* just had to install new power supplies.

you need the solder in your traces reflowed on the video board.

for a short-term fix, try stuffing a rag underneath the
boardstack to cause slight upward pressure.
i bet you the problem will go away for a while.

Great - thanks for the tips! Intersting theory about the rag...
