I'm at a dead end with a Daytona Upright that I picked up as a nearly empty cab. All I got with it is a wiring harness, an empty control panel,a 4 board stack out of a twin sit-down, speakers from a sit down, and a almost complete control panel from a single sit down (Missing Shifter). Granted, I got it for free, so I cant complain. The issue I'm having is the lack of documentation available on the upright, and the lack of control panel parts. And yes, I've already tried unbolting the steering wheel assembly from the sit down panel, but since its from a single, it is not the same (to my understanding the assembly from a twin sit-down is the same as the upright). Does anybody have any advice on how to take this project on? Should I not even waste my time on it? Anybody have a parts list for an upright? Any help would be appreciated

wonder how much a working Daytona upright is worth

I might just convert it into a nice multicade and find a home for it on craigslist for a grand depending on how much water damage is on the bottom

good luck

We built Daytona U/R with Happ Contols units. No biggie to get those or connect. Simple pot wiring to analog inputs on I/O bd. However, the Happ unit did not give good range and caused a lot of issues if not calibrated at center correctly. I recommend using the nice Japanese Twin handle unit. Should be no trouble really to mount to CP. You should also rig something up for start and view change buttons. Super easy. Shifter would be an issue if you don't have an original. These were three switch inputs to account for four gears so a four switch generic unit is difficult to use without making a circuit to convert to three switch set up.

Its always worth keeping these Daytona's running. Best driver ever. I've repaired over 4000 Daytona Game Bds and still do around three per week. Oh as for parts list, good luck. If you don't have an original UR manual I don't think you will find it on web. Wiring diagrams for inputs are all the same between these cabs so you should be able to find those on web. If no go, email me and I can send something.
