does the game have a power draw at start up to keep peter chow working?
When i turn it on it tries to start up and dont. other times it comes on normally.
I switched the supply and same thing some times work some times not.

Thanx .....Dan

Does anything come up on the screen, Does the start play button come on? More info on details of what it is or not doing would be helpful.
One critical voltage measurement you should check right off is to see if you have 5.01 vdc at the CPU board stack. (stack of boards directly under the seat). Measure from any yellow to white wire and adjust the 5v on power supply if needed. Lowest it should be is 4.90 but closer to the recommended 5.01 the better.

when i have it opened up, the power supply comes on with the fan for like a second then shuts off.
the other supply was at 5.08 the other game always comes on. when i switched them # 2 sometimes shuts the supply off at start up. once on it works fine for hours and hours.

Hmmm, As far as I know on these,(and I'm no expert on these) if you have a Chow replacement PS in it, that is the supply. If it's shutting down could it be a bad or loose connection supplying the AC voltage to the supply? Maybe in the switch on the rear of cab?
What about disconnecting all of the connections on the PS, except the AC feed, to see if it still shuts down?
Or disconnecting sections, like the audio amp, steering, etc one by one to see what circuit could be at fault if it's not PS related?
Sorry I can't be of more help on this as I just picked up a set of these about 4 months ago and am working through issues on mine too. One works now.

I here ya man, lot of stuff to check and adjust. I'll check some of the grounds, there is a ground strip way in there that will take some time. If you have a specific problem on 1 of yours, i have solved alot of them so i'll help if i can.

All grounds are great! So when i unplug the degausing wires the machine starts up every time. The switch behind the coin door is good, and works to degause the monitor but if i leave it plugged in the power supply will shut down as it is turned on.
