daytona usa - quick question on monitor resolution - please help

sold my daytona usa to a buddy of mine this weekend.....gave him the original monitor (non-working) and a med-res monitor (working).

can daytona usa run on the med-res monitor? and if so, is there a dip switch setting or something that he needs to adjust?

thanks in advance for the help!!!

just talked to my buddy again.....says he's got the med-res monitor in there, the game plays blind with no monitor and he was able to get to an adjustment screen with monitor to confirm it was OK.

but he's getting no video from game to monitor....any ideas on what he should check first? it's probably something simple but he asked me if i would pick y'alls brains on it.

thanks again for any help.

Look at the peter chou power supply and the 5 fuses right next to it.

thanks.

texted that response to him and he said there wasn't one and there weren't any 5 fuses there.

i dunno....i'm not there. but again, any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks fellas.

You have to lift the seat assy, and the floor board in front of the seat. They sit under the floor board piece.

thanks.

There's also a video cable that runs from the PCB under the seat under the footboard and up to the monitor. Make sure it's connected.

And I've found that if the link cable isn't connected (you have the dual right?), then one side won't boot up...
